Reviewing Aussie Pet Mobile -dog and cat grooming
Dog may be man's best, but you may not feel that way when your "best friend" decides to take a romp in the mud, gets sprayed by a skunk or is simply due for a bath and nail trimming. While there are certainly many chain pet stores such as Petco, Petsmart and other smaller chains or independents that offer pet grooming services to owners such as nail trimming for cats and dogs, hair cuts for dogs and cats of all breeds and pet bathing. While pet grooming at these brick and mortar locations may offer an easier and cleaner alternative than grooming at home, they are not without their downfalls.
One of the major disadvantages of going to a groomer is
1. The Inconvenience Factor. First of all, you most likely need to make your appointment anywhere from a week to several weeks in advance depending on the volume of the business. This doesn't help if your 4-legged friend decides to surprise you with a an extra layer of dirt from a day in a dog's life.
2. The Wait. Once you drop your dog or cat off at the groomer, they will most likely have to wait for several hours until it's there turn on the table with the groomer. This means you need to find something to do for the next 4-6 hours and you'll have to come back. If you don't live near your groomer, this becomes exponentially more inconvenient.
3. Kennel Cages. While your animal is waiting, he or she will most likely be caged and you'll have little knowledge on whether or not there are sick animals nearby, or if the cage is even very clean. We all treat our pets like our kids, and I know I always feel bad leaving my beloved in a cage. It's as uncomfortable as sitting in the middle seat of a crowd coach section on most any value airline.
Mobile Pet Grooming is heaven sent!
Since my best bud, "Ray" a Maltese-Poodle mix known as a "Malti-Poo" was in need of a haircut and bath, I decided to look for an alternative to the local Petsmart. Ray's previous grooming appointment at Petsmart had been inconsistent at best in terms of quality. To make matters worse, upon the return home of his last grooming appointment, I realized he been cut twice near his armpits due to lack of talent from his groomer. I was furious that he was in pain and vowed to never go back there again.
Enter Aussie Pet Mobile.
I began looking for local reviews of mobile groomers and I came across a company called Aussie Pet Mobile. I gave them a call and they gave me an appointment time where they would come to my home within 24 hours. Awesome.

Lisa, the aussie pet groomer, in action with Ray the Malti-poo
Mobile Pet Grooming Review
Ray's groomer was a very gentle and compassionate animal-lover named Lisa, who showed up in an impeccably clean Mercedes Cargo Van with a retrofitted interior that included a bathing sink, grooming table and all the necessary grooming supplies to clean up canines and felines alike.
2 hours and $60 later, Ray the Malti-Poo looked like a million bucks and had made a new friend in Lisa the pet groomer. Lisa brought him to the door and into the house when she finished so that we could inspect her work and accommodate any further grooming requests. She also let me watch her work while trimming more sensitive parts of Ray's underside and said I was welcome to stay and watch the entire time if I wanted.
All in all, Aussie Pet Mobile provided a fantastic service at a great price. For the same price as I'd pay taking Ray to a groomer, I had personal concierge pet-grooming service and my pooch didn't have to hang around in a dingy kennel cage either. When Lisa left for good, Ray stood at the front door whimpering for his friend. I will definitely use the AUSSIE Mobile Groomers again out of Fremont, CA.
